Our insulation option provides a 'U' value lower than the 0.7 W/m2K indicated by building regulations.

Using the proportional test area method of the CIBS guide, independent calculations by the National Physical Laboratory established a 'U' value of 0.59 W/m2K for the complete door.

The 3mm thick continuous polyurethane foam layer, backed by a silver, wipe-clean aluminised polyester lining is laminated to the inside of the standard door.

The combination of the silver surface material and upgraded underlying foam provides aesthetic improvement as well as reducing heat loss and improving the acoustic properties of the door. Informal tests have established a reduction of 15dba (decibels) through the insulated door curtain.

The flame retardant material can be repaired if damaged and the complete option can be fitted retrospectively if required.

A patented embossed gridded pattern gives a smart and uniform appearance to the inside of the door.

Double brush side sealing system provides airtightness compliant with current regulations for air leakage testing.
